To whom it may concern - I applied through this Slickdeal and the very next morning at 9am a received a suspicious phone call from Chase fraud prevention asking to verify my identity via text message. I felt uncomfortable so I refused. When I called the number back it was an automated touchtone voice inbox from supposedly chase but there was no way to contact customer support to talk to someone. I googled the number they called me from and there were numerous reports on Reddit and elsewhere of the number being fraudulent. Do not apply to this!
This card, with a bonus, gets posted frequently. The card is issued by one of the largest banks in the world along with one of the largest retailers in the world.

If you received a call or text from a number you thought was suspicious, why would you ever call it back? If a person answered, would you have then given your private information to them? Even the simple act of calling the suspicious number: Best case scenario - calling the number back does nothing. Worst case - your number is now flagged by the automated system from the scammers as a possible number to target with even more scams.

If ever in this situation, DO NOT call or text the suspicious number. If you have a card already, call the number printed on the back of your card. Otherwise, go to the actual legitimate website of the company (not linked in any suspicious email or text) and find a real contact number from the site.

Nothing is wrong with this deal. It is a decent card and a decent deal.

Classic internet response... Do something undeniably stupid and then try to save face by saying something *smart* back. Just take the heat.

What would you have said if someone answered??
"Are you the real Chase bank?!"

My eyes can't roll further back in my skull.

Then to come back here and tell people to stay away from something legitimate because you don't know how to navigate life...ugh

*67 doesn't work when calling commercial lines so the joke is on you 😂 might want to read up on ANI.

$150 works out to about 15,000 points on other cards, so this doesn't seem like a good deal to possibly add a hard inquiry to my credit report and another acct. I get 4% back on gas with Costco card, 5% Amazon already on my Amazon card, and 2% cash back on another VISA card for everything else. I'm waiting for a deal like 120,000 pts on an annual fee card that gives me a lot of benefits (e.g., AmEx Platinum, Chase Sapphire, etc.).

Yeah. Even giftcards, you get sometimes 20% back during holidays. Also non rush shipping is 6% cashback. International fee is 0%. Best card ever. I use Wf for everything else (2%)

I have a grandfathered Prime account with multiple adult family members on it-
When one of them tried ti get a store card it didn't seem to grant them the full benefits as they weren't the main Prime account.

Maybe that's changed.
Sounds like for newer/current prime & +1 account holders it works

I also have the grandfathered account, and was still able to assign one of those members as another adult in my household. This allowed them to get this benefit and all other amazon prime benefits. However, the rest of the members in my grandfathered account do not see this offer.

Interesting. I've been so hesitant to touch anything "household" setting wise for fear it would update my plan I haven't tried that.

Yeah, I thought this was always $200... I would wait to apply until it's at least $200. Probably will be a black friday promo coming up.
