LG OLED naming conventions are one of the easiest to understand.

It's a circle-jerk. Each year, in the early summer, LG will retail their latest and greatest TV with incremental changes. The big deal hunters will then go backwards and hope and pray they can get last year's model for cheap. They'll THEN see these threads and basically encourage everyone to do the same. It breeds more people waiting until April-June for the "best" deals. All the while, folks miss out on enjoyment of these TVs, as an OLED is truly beautiful.

This model will likely drop to about $1500 come May. If you aren't in the market, wait until May. That's the perfect sweet spot. For example, I got a 77'' G2 this year for $2600. I dare someone to act like that wasn't a slick deal. Just last month my local Sams had a 83'' C2 for $2000 in box. If I didn't get the G2, I'd gotten that. Both were VERY limited deals, to note.

I'm now though a person who hops into these threads just to alert folks that man...if you don't want the stress of hoping for a TV deal, take the "normal" sale and keep it moving.

Until it craps out like a year in. I went with lg after my samsung died and couldn't be happier. Warranty is absolutely essential with samsung as it's a very common thing for them nowadays

Enough with this burn-in stuff. Burn-in isn't an issue anymore.

Does Best Buy price match Costco?
Yes they do. But warehouse models may use slightly different model numbers and sometimes they will use that to deny a price match.

Uggg.. b3,c2,c3,g3, stop messing with us LG we just wanna buy a tv 🤣
Oh, this one is really easy you only have to remember two things…..#1 77". #2 G3. Especially since you can get one right now for just under $3200. Two of the main reasons to get a G3 is because it comes with a five year panel warranty from LG and the G3 is crazy bright with such vibrant colors because the panel has a huge heat sink on it to help dissipate the heat, which allows the software to be able to safely turn up The performance of the panel. It will also add to the longevity of the panel. I did a test on mine the other day, and after I was binge watching Game of Thrones for eight hours, I took an infrared heat gun and took the temperature of the top of the TV and it was only 93° that is nothing compared to other OLED TV's. And to whoever isn't aware the 77 inch is the best size. The 83 inch is a different panel than 77 inch and smaller and it's not as good. So don't even think about it. Plus it's only 6 inches bigger. Going from a 65 inch to a 77 inch is 12 inches that is the biggest step And the most important.

I know this is B3, and many (myself included) are waiting for C3 to drop to this price. That said, this B3 deal is back at Costco with Allstate warranty.

120hz refresh with HDMI 2.1.

EDIT: Best Buy also have B3 for the same price, for those wanting to score a cheaper open box deal.

Realistically, how lower could this go in the next couple of months?
I haven't followed TV price trends in the past…
I have noticed tv prices going slowly down. I haven't seen a cheap 55 in tv in the 250 price range since 2020. Prices have to go down because people are not buying anything.

I wonder if the OLEDs have to be more than 1000 dollars to prevent the theft in states where there is no prosecution for less than 998. So as prices continue to drop they will never get too cheap so that the 55 is below 1000

I had an issue with my B8 and LG gave me a 15% off coupon code... bringing this B3 to $1,814 if I order from them. The code expires before Black Friday so not sure if I should keep holding out. Would obviously prefer the C... but not sure how low it'll drop for the 77".

I have been. This will be the lowest average until 2024 screens come out and that's when they'll clearance the 2023 screens. Prices will and availability will vary at that point.

If a non California team makes it to the Super Bowl, then expect a slight drop in price around that time. If the 49ers make it, which seems very likely, then prices won't go lower than Black Friday.

If you're a hardcore gamer who isn't using a PC, then sure.

If you are someone who wants to watch 4K/Blu-ray on an OLED....this is a great deal with the only issue being reduced HDMI 2.1 ports and a "less bright" screen. That's truly small potatoes.

It then just becomes a battle of "do I want to wait until the B4/C4s come out and battle hundreds of others for a $200 discount" or "do I want to enjoy this today and easily have the peace of mind that I got this at a good price"
