I swapped this in for my old S760h, and it's also got a snappier processor...the GUI alone is lightyears ahead. You can also tell how much beefier it is when you pick them both up. I'm running 6-ohm Sony SSCS5's for my fronts with a 4-ohm ELAC Uni-Fi center in a 5.1.2 setup in a large room, and I could definitely tell the difference in power.

Edit: Nevermind, I'm just an idiot.

Is it ideal most likely not, those speakers are very inefficient, and like to have power for optimal performance.
I currently only have two front and two surrounds hooked up (Klipsch KG 3.2's and Minimus 7's) and I have a couple extra Minimus 7's in the closet I can use. I'm in a second-floor apartment, and with my mains I don't need or want a subwoofer, and it's just me so I can sit in the sweet spot and hopefully not miss a center channel too terribly much. Using the six speakers I have in my apartment-sized living room (luckily, there is space behind the couch), would the upgrade of A) Dolby Digital to DD+, B) 4.0 to 6.0 (no center or subwoofer), and C) the possibility of object-based surround be "worth it" if I place the two new speakers behind the couch - or if need be, waaay up on the walls?
Tagging @supermanrob and @fourml8r ... Not sure if Slickdeals has that feature.
Then you could have a 4.0.2 setup which to me would be better than a 4.0 setup.
For Atmos to be effective though you need to mount the extra two speakers high on the wall, not at ear level behind the couch

Either way, you're losing positional audio without having a Center channel. It's actually the most important speaker in your system. Your Klipsch mains don't need a subwoofer, but it would be huge for your surround channels with the Minimus 7's.
If you're gaming, go with a 7.1.0 setup as few games support Dolby Atmos.
For movies, go with 5.1.2 Atmos setup and place your spare 7's as high up on the front wall as you can get away with.
If you're just listening to music, stick with your current quadrophonic setup.
