I noticed yesterday that Amazon also lowered AppleCare by $ 6 to match Costco. Now Costco lowered the AirPod price by $ 10 to match Amazon.

Ordered these from Costco a few days ago. I thought I was getting the USB C version. Other than that connection, is there a big enough difference? I still have the 13 Pro so I'm still using lightning and don't mind that aspect if they're essentially the same product.

I see there's the lossless audio, which I can't take advantage of, and the dust/water resistant case.

You'll want the lossless tech when iPhone 16 comes out next year. I'd trade them for USB-C

I never understood the hype of the 2nd gen usb-c pro pods until … I spent the past few months reading and researching them. I was reluctant but Amazon prime $189 + Amex 3% online and a recent Amex Cashback promo on Amazon brought it down to about $150. I decided to purchase the usb-c version… I had never been an audiophile and after I spent some time properly setting up the 'perfect' settings with lossless (hi-res lossless was like 135mb for a 3min song so I deferred on that option Smilie) and I can say without a doubt this has been one of the absolute best decisions ever.

I had never truly experienced or felt music like I did with these in my ears. Spending $30 over and over on cheap ear buds over the years and it took me this long to find these amazing EarPods to make me excited to listen to music especially my work outs.

Apologize if I come off sounding like a fan boy but this was truly a wonderful surprise. But Don't take my word for it as Levar Burton would say … try someone's and I'm pretty sure you will feel the same (especially if you never cared abt what type of earbud you used in the past)…

Caveat: I believe you have to use Amex reward points to kick off activation of this particular rebate.

… and it may seem like the word "lightning" makes it sound much better than the old fashioned usb but the usb-c option charged super fast and have yet to find all the other benefits as I just got them.
