Got my opt out and 25 bucks

* 3 Voice Lines (Unlimited Data)
* 2 Data Lines (5GB Data)
* 1 Data Line (6GB Data w/rollover)
* 1 Data Line (200MB Data For Life)
* 1 Watch Line
At least half of those lines are 'free', and the base plan is a promo plan I've been on for like 10+ years. In fact, the only plan I pay full price on is the watch one. Any migration to some 'new' plan would likely double or triple my costs. F* you T-Mobile. I'll definitely opt out, but if they try to ever force me, goodbye.
Simple Choice North America 6GB MI
Includes Data Stash which rolls your unused on-network 4G LTE data into your Data Stash bucket up to 20GB that must be used within 12mos.
The way tmobile did this was clumsy and spiteful, if they simply offered some incentive (like a lower plan for a year or new phones) I would have willingly made the switch. In the end they would have made more money off me staying with the new hiked up plan than me now shopping around for a new carrier. You know, that old adage about flies and honey.
major change happening secretly for select T-Mobile plan customers like Simple Choice, One, and other old plans.
I didn't receive any email or text but my plan was set to automatically upgrade to a magenta plan next month that is 25% more expensive (with additional benefits). I read a news article on my google feed, and reached out to customer care out of curiosity. I was shocked to learn that I was indeed part of the upgrade. It was easy to request an Opt Out but you need to do this before it's late.
See linked post for more details.
Here is my customer care interaction recap on FB Messenger.
My pleasure! Thank you for working with me through the process. To recap, you reached out to get assistance with the rate plan migration. We discussed the details to move to the newer plans and you decided to keep the existing plan. I placed opt out option on your account and you will remain on the simple choice plan. Thank you for being amazing to work with. Have a great rest of your week!

No. I still have it. The balance of data stash shows up in my statement.
