Anyone who brought it a few weeks ago, have any comments on the dehumidifier itself?

Have never heard of the brand, but that's a mighty fine price. Repped.

I bought a refrigerator of theirs last year from Home Depot. It works just fine. Most of these are all made in China anyway. Unless there's a recall on it, you probably just going to end up buying the same thing with a different label from another store at a higher price. If you're looking for a humidifier, I wouldn't hesitate buying this one.

Does anyone have any experience with the Allstate Protection Plan? I've been lucky to have a Honeywell dehumidifier that's going on strong five years now, but I've heard a lot of folks complain that their dehumidifiers didn't last long at all.

This looks like a Hisense dehumidifier rebrand. They are solid and life expectancy is 2-5 years depending on how often it runs (from my personal experience owning two of the Hisense models).

I might try this with the warranty. I haven't had great luck with dehumidifier the last few years.

Definitely an intriguing price and I need a new dehumidifier to replace a garbagio Costway model but it sounds like the fan is unusually loud. The loud fan on my Midea is why it's been moved to the garage and replaced by the Costway.

Definitely buy a warranty if someone can validate using it. Bought 2 Danby dehumidifiers from Costco and they lasted for 1.5 and 2 years. Now on the third one made by Hisense.

Bought this last time around and it's working fine for occasional usage. No issues so far, run it only few hours every day.

I bought an Allstate protection plan for a humidifier from Walmart. It stopped working after 2 years. The process of filing a claim was surprisingly easy and I had a gift card to purchase a new humidifier in a few minutes. I purchased a new protection plan for the next one because dehumidifiers don't seem to last long.

Why is the bucket always shaped like that on dehumidifiers? It makes them so hard to clean, and they splash everywhere when you empty them.
