Just did a quick search and a highly cited (100+) study from 2019 suggests similar results for whey vs pea (though they say, more research is needed): https://www.ncbi.nlm.ni
1. it's not isolate, if that's important to you
2. 25g of protein in 33g serving size. normally i expect 25g protein in about 28g of whey isolate, but i don't know how much to expect for non-isolate.
72-76% WPC
84-86% WPI is what I've noticed. You are seeing 89%?
Me too. Think deal is dead.
Your comment isn't based on facts. Whey has a PDCAAS value of 1.0 and DIAAS value of 1.09 making it one of the most digestible and bioavailable proteins sources for humans. Plant proteins typically have PDCAAS of 0.7 to 0.95. Hydrolyzed, processed forms of plant proteins can help get the score closer to 1 but involves significant energy, thus increasing carbon intensity. Plant proteins also tend to have ANFs (anti nutritional factors) like stachyose, raffinose and gossypol that can be very problematic for some people.
