But why? It's probably easiest to keep track of one gift card that can be used for anyone, rather than have Southwest cancel credit( travel funds) tied to one person, and additionally saving all the cancelled confirmation numbers. Southwest does not have any easy way to look up your total accumulated flight funds in one location under your account.
Great deal, I had the 40$ coupon on online Costco orders of 250$+ that came with the Groupon new account sign up in August about to expire at the end of this month which i could combine with the 5 percent cash back with Chase freedom CC for a total final effective price of 370$ for the 500$ SW GC.
Anyone know if having 2 canceled purchases count towards the 2 max? Can't seem to get it to give the 20 off anymore after they cancelled my 2 previous attempts to purchase.
Flight credit is transferable to other people if the ticket bought was Wanna Get Away Plus.
I believe this is the benefit of the get away plus fee. Only ones that aren't are the base wanna get away from what I recall. Or if you have points those can be used on anyone and are refunded to the original reward account that used them and not attached to any particular name.
Ah, I didn't pick one up last night while I was there because the sign over the gift cards said $449.99. Don't think I need to go back that way before the sale ends so I might just get one of the eGift cards online.
Southwest is currently running a 50% bonus if you buy Rapid Rewards points right now. So what is a better deal, this card for $429 or 29,000 points for $435(which is the closest I can get to $429)?
