These are a luxury novelty item at any price. Part of the appeal is the high cost. Without even getting out of bed you can have them delivered to someone's office so everybody sees the big special cookie delivery box which informs them that someone in their office has a better significant other than they do. They also make a great apology peace offering, thank you note, or birthday gift.

I'd say 6" in diameter is pretty large...if well made and super chunky, I suppose $5 is tolerable.
