Not exactly. When you receive your physical gift card, you should have the card number + pin number. You should be able to redeem them here [giftcards.com] and select the merchant of choice from the available denomination

This is exactly what I was going to mention, I bought a $10 GC back when Chase had their buy $10 at a restaurant get $5 back offer, I knew it was a bad idea when both cashiers at that location had no idea how to ring it up but I was hoping you could at least use it online or in their app. Places who sell you gift cards and later on restrict you how to use them (online or physically) should be required to have stipulated in the plastic or gift card

However I have no idea how that work at gamestop because I never got to try it, and being a digital gift card made it sound like any cashier would deny the transaction even if their POS allowed it

Hopefully they reverse their decision if people start buying less amazon GCs by a decent number. I'm not touching them now if I can't get them for at least 15% savings now

So I ordered the Game and Grub $50 giftcard. It got delivered to the package room of my apartment building on Thursday evening and I retrieved the package tonight (Friday evening). It came in a bubble mailer. I tore the package open on the top and noticed the envelope was empty. I also noticed a slit on the side of the envelope after opening it on the top. I walked back to double my tracks but found nothing. Contacted Amazon for a replacement

First time doing a physical gift card purchase with these gift cards and the card / PIN combo didn't work. Had to get a refund but bummer it was for $40 and couldn't get the replacement card amount of $50 on a new card instead.
