I got my hands on a Duromax 10000e for testing. It was recently on sale for $605 in August. Lesser quality than the wgen7500 imo. Catastrophic engine failure is a possibility. Somewhat higher rate of electronic component failure.
With essentially nothing more than the 30 day warranty IF sold and and shipped by Amazon it's hard to recommend buying any of these if the price is over $600 shipped.
Firman has the Costco warranty but the noise is unacceptable to me in the units over 4500 watts. I really like my Ultimate 4550 120/240 volt version but it doesn't have enough power for many whole house applications. The larger tri-fuel is a good value when on sale at Costco for $600 but like I say the high pitched noise is irritating.
Briggs and Straton 5500 and above pull start models are my first choice after Honda, Durable and reliable with cleaner power output. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a used one in good cosmetic condition in this price range even if the rated power is less. The real find is an old U.S. made Winco. Very clean stable power from the massive alternator.
