DO NOT choose pickup from Best Buy or the Samsung store if you want to keep the 100 day trial period. I found this out the hard way. If you do any sort of pickup instead of delivery you have the normal 15 day return policy.

I have the 990b in my basement and it is really an incredible soundbar.

Have an Arc upstairs (no sub/rears - wife approved) and it is also a killer bar.

For this price - it's an absolute no-brainer to go with the 990c over the Arc. A similar specced Sonos setup crosses 2k easily.

To get the EDU discount - call your local community college and see if they have free application and enrollment, most do. I did this, I signed up and got an EDU email address and acceptance letter the same day.

It seems people continue to respond well to the Samsung soundbar system deals, have there been any long-term reviews or reliability concerns on these? Asking because as much I am so tempted to jump on a new sound system in this price range - I was just so totally turned off with Samsung quality when we picked up the 600B about a year ago, it just started acting up and died (lost sound) within the first 2 weeks, hassle having to go through the return and refund process.

I need to get an EDU or EPP account. I tried to get an AAA account but in my state they don't let you pay monthly. You have to pay for the entire year up front.

I haven't noticed any, but I have them in two differently-shaped rooms, and the ones in the office honestly don't get used much (the 990Cs).
