Great price. I thought about this deal yesterday, but I ultimately went for the Amazon prime day bundle of extra battery, magnetic clip, and Shorty stick for $279.99. Figured those accessories were more worthwhile than the $40 savings.

I remember reading that once certain release had a GREATLY improved recording time (maybe through an eco mode or something?)…..can anyone confirm if it was the 10 or 11 that got this improvement?

It is actually current model GoPro 12

Up to 2x the runtime of the Hero11 Black GoPro claims up to two times longer runtimes than the previous model, with the Hero12 capable of recording up to 70 minutes of 5.3K 60p video and up to 58 minutes of 4K 120p video. If you have the card capacity, you can even record over 90 minutes of 5.3K 30p video.

Thanks for the hot tip. But I do actually have a plan. Price of the Disney memory maker has gone up to basically match what I paid. I am hoping to surprise my family for Xmas by taking my wife and kids to Disney world. Instead of just getting some photos (ride photos are now included with genie+), I figured we could take live videos of our rides this trip and even researching mounts on a stroller.

Just trying to have a little fun here

Haven't been any in store anywhere for a while. Have to buy these online. End in .97 which means this is the last time to get these, once they sold out that's it. This price is super solid. Tried to find them for $200 in store but no store I called had them in stock (for months). Buy while you can or wait for Black Friday, prob could get the GoPro 11 for $299 by itself or the 12 for $349 by itself.

I bought one as its good value bundle… and can return if find a better price till mid January 2024. Just the battery charger alone (and the extra battery) is worth $40-$50.

Plus if Costco does go to $199 you can call in and price match easily.

FYI, if you have a gopro subscription and haven't bought a camera yet, they have the Hero12 with an extra battery for $300 now

Would be great if this was open to people that didn't have a year sub and then renewed for another year.

But maybe someone who has a subscription sees this. I still think $300 for the 12 with 2 batteries is high (cost of 2 years subscription plus taxes is needed to be able to access it). Maybe they will have real deals this Black Friday. I'm hoping for $250 for a 12 bundle but doubt it. I like gps function also.

Also, the charger on this Costco deal is really handy. I would buy a dual charger anyways I think if I got any GoPro. Ideally there is a 12 with 2 batteries, charger, and maybe some decent accessories for under $280.

Video quality wise, they are all almost the same since the 9. Peter Santanello on YouTube has amazing looking videos and he uses a 9 because it is smaller.
