If you use this as sander, it will leave you visible marks. Random Orbital one is better.

This is a multi-tool, so a dedicated tool for the job is always going to be better.

I looked at it closer, looks to have easy blade changes unlike the M18 version. I put both in cart and it comes to $214.20 - is this broken or am I missing something? I am using their app.

Thanks. I've been having trouble with my random orbit sander. It's leaving visible round marks from the edge of the sandpaper. I'm sure it's my lack of skill or maybe the grit of the paper that's the cause, but I had to ask in case there's a better solution to sanding wood.

I rarely sand anything, let alone wood, but I think I was always told to sand in the direction of the grain using a block (if you're fancy) or just with a quarter sheet of sandpaper or so. I don't believe "random orbit" and wood sanding pair well. Random orbit with a buffing pad for auto paint, that is another story...
