Today I used the return battery hack and purchased the Milwaukee M12 fuel Cordless Oscillating Multi-Tool. You purchase this tool at $159 and get a free 2.5 Ah battery as a free gift, then return the battery, you get the bare tool at $106.21 before tax.

I wish there was a way to filter deal alerts to NOT include these "hacks"

...and as soon as someone posts a deal and comments "This deal requires no hack", then you'll get inadvertently filtered.

For the record, I dislike these 'hack' posts as well.

You can literally get the M18 for $13 more with the M18 hacksaw kit w/ blade hack free tool deal. It's been going in and out of stock daily but I have no issues getting the hack after check a few times one day. You are getting the best oscillating tool on the market for barely nothing over this M12. Who wouldn't want that performance monster difference.

Yes, I agree that the M18 fuel is a much better deal. Thanks.

But I think the M12 fuel is enough for me, and I also have 2.0ah m12 battery which make the tool much compact and lightweight to use.

Here is a review between M12 and M18, not huge difference:

1) The extra steps involved - like buying a bag of grapes at the store, and eating 1/3 of them before you go to checkout and weigh them. "Look, I saved money by doing this 1 neat trick!"

2) Home Depot sends me an email for things I buy in-store, even when I don't produce ID or identify myself in any way. I -know- they're tying it to the name on the CC and sending me these "How do you like our XXYY item?" question. With that said, I know they're tracking the pattern of these 'hacks' and I'd rather not play that game.

Meh, ive done it and no one caress, they r still making money hand over fist. As long as ur not replacing the new tool with the old, i dont see a crime or problem
