Just FYI there's no smoke extractor on this grill.
According to the product description:
"* SMOKELESS GRILL: The perforated mesh lid eliminates smoke from your kitchen and reduces splatter, and the plates are equipped with high walls and grease catches for a pleasant cooking experience."
Also in the manual they advise you not to use low smoke point fat/oils
The obvious differences are the higher temps, and the even heat they claim, as well as having a temperature dial. $19 Foreman grills would not be as good for searing. I do have one of the $19 models. But I don't own this one, so no firsthand experience. I would suggest checking reviews.
