It was $14 less back in April for the Ice Blue color, but I haven't seen another deal as good as this since.

I'm taking the leap but I'm also kind of waiting for the surface 10 and hoping it's not a major redesign now that i've ordered a keyboard

Wild speculation: I'm waiting for ten because I'm expecting it to be announced with the NPU that the recent surface devices come with. I want to use rewind.ai and all the new ai tools that are starting to pop up. A meteor lake CPU with onboard NPU would be awesome, too....

I just bought the Pro 9, i7, 32 gb, 1tb SSD for $1800 - from Prime day, but it's that price now at MS too. I will say, it's VERY impressive. I managed to power up my Surface Pro 5, i7, 8gb, 256 gb SSD and wow it's crazy how much a few years made in performance. It's powering two 32" 4k displays from my Dell Thunderbolt dock. Very happy with it. Got a 4 year warranty too as I hope it last a lot longer than the Pro 5 did (battery issues).

I've used several Surface devices, not through my own choice either. "Bad" is about the only thing I have to say about them. Avoided them for the last several years -- doesn't surprise me they're still doing shady stuff like swapping connectors out for an extra sale.
