... or pay an extra $40 to get the 4ah, 2ah and charger thrown in?

i wouldn't consider this a hack, not in the ingenious sense of the word anyway.
You could sell the batteries for more than the $40 the "hack" saves.

**Edit** never mid the kit is what gets this tool for free. Total is $150 for the 2 not $100 like i thought as well.

Wonder if this is powerful enough to use to dry vehicles after a wash.... I have the 20V Dewalt w/ the 3d printed small nozzle but would prefer a lighter quieter blower.

Lighter and quieter....doesn't Ryobi sell a "whisper quiet" line of their 18v fans and blowers?

Have this and would buy at this price if you are in the M12 ecosystem. I mainly use it to clean up tools and area after cutting wood outside, but it's also strong enough to blow leaves off my porch in a pinch. I also like that it breaks down small enough to fit in my rolling toolbox with my other tools.

Only caveat is that you'll need at least a 4 AH battery as it burns through smaller ones quickly.

I use this to dry my car, it is decently effective. It is right on the borderline of being enough power. It has a hard time on flat surfaces like the roof if the paint has not been coated with wax/ceramic/graphene. I really do love the convenience tho and would buy it again.

"Spot" blower means high speed fan. That's what you're getting here. If you want to move light dust from one corner of the shop to another, this is for you. If you need a fan for cooling your driver during pit stops, this is for you. If like making dogs lick the air, this is for you.

I got a sun joe 24v blower for like 40 bucks late last year.

It's been fine but the battery only lasts like 10 minutes.

Tempted to get this since I have at least a few m12 batteries

Did this last week and the blower is nice for its size. I got mainly for cleaning up ash around the grill and light stuff on the back of the house and it can handle that just fine.

I wouldn't use this to dry a car. I have an M18 blower and after a wax, I can get my mid-sized car dry. After the wax has worn off, I get the car 80% dry and still have to wipe. I'm guessing this M12 won't cut it.

I have an Ego Power and I still have to use the turbo button in order to completely dry the car. Without the turbo it looks like I'm just moving the water around.
