It started out performing like a 3060. Now it's creeping up on a 3070. The ray tracing is strong.

The trouble is that you'll be part of a low single digit installed base, and that'll bring a lot of problems.

At least they've really cleaned up the driver mess.

I'm interested in what they launch with Battlemage and Celestial.

Also, I'm pretty sure that a youtuber reviewed this card a while ago and found no performance advantage over a stock 770 without the fancy cooler.

I've never seen driver updates do so much to improve performance. The release schedule seems to be almost monthly as of late as well. The real value that these cards are starting to approach with the performance boosts are in the professional/creator space moreso than gaming, but there are benefits being seen there too.

This is a great deal, but a dangerous purchase if you haven't done your research on these Arc cards. I'm in for one.

Its not better, its more of an equal with the most recent drivers, though in some games its worse. But it's also considerably cheaper. Keep in mind this has 16GB vs the 8GB on the 4060.

If youre fine with 8GB (what the 4060 has) you can get an 8GB A770 for far less, $219:

Exactly my point, i have 4070 wqhich is great for gaming and tracing, my wife is needing one for auttocad and tracing, rendering, this is a great price for it. It is at same as 3060, with driver update is like 3070, and who knows. getting to good value.
