Product Info
Product Description:
Makita created a new class in cordless with 18V LXT Sub-Compact Tools. Makita Sub-Compact Products give users 12V handling with 18V performance, and compatibility with the world's largest 18V cordless tool system. The CX203SYB is a combo kit with two 18V sub-compact solutions for drilling, driving and fastening in tight spaces. The kit includes an ultra-compact brushless driver-drill and impact driver. The driver drill features two speed settings, a metal jampot design for durability, and delivers 350 in.lbs. of Peak Torque. The variable-speed brushless impact driver has two speed settings and delivers 1,240 in.lbs. of Max Torque. It features Assist Mode (A-mode), which helps eliminate "screw cam-out" and "cross threading" by driving at low speed until tightening begins. It's part of Makita's expanding 18V LXT System, the world's largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger.

I was looking for this but ended up going with m12 set. I wanted to stay in Makita batteries but this is still heavier, bigger and not any more powerful than m12. Staying in Makita batteries might be the only reason to get this, unless I'm missing something.
These kick ass. I have abuse my set for nearly three years now and they have both been awesome. Basically the weight and size of a 12v with the power of an 18v. The impact is probably my favorite tool I own.

Same here. I have used this set since 2018/2019 for typical household work, as well as building bulkheads for basement framing, and most recently in 40 holes with a 1-1/2" auger to loosen sandy soil with some gravel for planting 3 gallon potted trees. I've been happy with the longevity and durability of the batteries as well.

Nothing wrong with M12, though.
