Yeah, I'd like to see these cheaper myself. Nice that they don't take up a lot of space.

I was gonna get these now but I'm hearing talk about them going through a recall. Anyone heard about that?

These should be fine. I have a set of these that are later than the recall numbers, so anything coming out now, should be good.

Got a set of these 3 years ago for $170. A bit bulky and unwieldy in the hands sometimes but nice to not have a dozen separate dumbbells taking up space. I picked up a dumbbell EZ curl bar that tightens around the handles of these which allows me to bench and squat a bit easier

Yup. Originals were perfectly fine but i guess enough dumb people hurt themselves so they recalled them. now I have 2 sets for the price of one.

These should be the new version

Agreed. The pre-recall dumbbells were fine. You can't drop these! It is that simple. Yes, if you are lifting too heavy or miss a rep and need to bail, then drop it, but expect that you may damage the dumbbell and accept that it was your fault and not a faulty product. Warnings are all over not to drop these. Even regular, fixed dumbbells will snap if you abuse them. I have the pre-recall DB's. I have used them regularly (the 90-lb version, which was also recalled) for over three years. No problems. Still work fine.

Got these Last December 2025 for $168.00 including tax. I can recommend it, but worth noting that I got an email from walmart saying some customers had issues with weights falling off and injuring themselves, and they pulled it off their shelves and recommended the owners to throw theirs away. I haven't had any issues though.
