I also have the legion 5 pro intel with3070. I know the intel one might have more heat. but going from i7-11 H cpu to i7-13H would be a much bigger deal than going from 6800H to 77H

I wanted to get a razer blade but all the talk of warranty/reliability issues, how do people just decide on one? Is it a gamble or what?
ThinkPad flagships are both reliable and highly repairable. MacBooks are only the first, never the latter.
And companies can get better or worse. Apple was not as good as Asus back in 2010 when square trade release a massive study on hardware problems different companies laptops would have had the 3-year and five year mark.
What worked for me was: when at the Warranty Upgrade section, changing it from the (default) recommended "Legion Ultimate Support" 1yr/$0.01 to the more basic "Depot Support" 1yr/$0.01 and leaving it in. After that add the CELEBRATE2023 promo, then the EXTRA5 code and both $70 discounts took.

6800H was 10% to 20% slower than 12700H.
7745HX is roughly equivalent to 13700HX. Both are 10% improvement over 12700H.
7745HX runs quieter than 13700HX. Both run quieter than 6800H and keyboard is cooler. I leave mine in performance mode.
This generation is easier to open up as well. And port selection / arrangement is better in this generation particularly for AMD. Only thing is that neither AMD or Intel have Thunderbolt / USB4. Last year, Intel did.
I just wish that the i7 version was as cheap. The i7 cpu is much faster on multicore benchmarks than the ryzen
notebookcheck's benchmarks show 7745HX is often faster than 13700HX in everyday usage. Oddly, 7645HX Legion Pro 5 benchmarked even better in productivity benchmarks but very weak in multicore.
Back in August, the AMD vs Intel price difference wasn't much so I would expect to see a good deal on the Intel version soon.
