Is this a good deal? I am tempted but its showing up in personalized deals section for me and is not on slickdeals hot deals page. So wanted to get some thoughts before pulling the trigger.

Eyedictive is legit and have been around for a while. Many of the products are the same as the high-end/luxury brands. At the end of the day, most glasses are the same and just made by 1 company who slaps a company/brand logo on it.

I've purchases 3 items from them in the past. 1 of them end up being fake and had to return, which is where one of my gripes is. Their return policy is customers pay for return shipping ($20) unless the item is defective or damaged. So my fake product that I received was not granted free return shipping. I ended up filing a charge back, even though it was just for $50, it was the principal. So buy at your own risk.

"Eyedictive guarantees every frame to be brand new and 100% authentic." (from their website).. How were you able to confirm if they were a fake, and how did the conversation go with Eyedictive about it?

I can only imagine that someone Italian came up to him and told him "Those Pradas are Fugazi"

These sunglasses are all made by EssilorLuxottica which manufactures glasses for a bazillion brands.

Fundamentally, from a lens and material perspective there is nothing different from these sunglasses compared to ones you may purchase from Walgreens, Macy's, etc.

What you're (mostly) paying for is the name.

Agree - that goes with all brand names - luxury names are built on hype.. but is the name genuine or fake? :-)
