Replace WSDEALS with WSDEAL13. Requires a different code than is automatically applied.
Oh, my silly mistake, thanks for pointing it out.

Didn't know what OPAL was, thinking never heard of that brand.

wikipedia:
The Opal Storage Specification is a set of specifications for features of data storage devices (such as hard disk drives and solid state drives) that enhance their security. For example, it defines a way of encrypting the stored data so that an unauthorized person who gains possession of the device cannot see the data. That is, it is a specification for self-encrypting drives (SED).

Looks like an awesome laptop, would like it closer to $1000.

Thanks for the tip! Ordered one, I took this over the P1 Gen 6. Trade off GPU and Heat on P1 for Longer Battery, Number Pad, OLED Higher Res (though glossy, just buy a matte screen protector), cooler temp machine. The 780M integrated will be ok for causal gaming but using it more for a productivity laptop instead. Can't wait!

The specs are wrong. It's 2x USB-A, not 3.
And the USB-C 4 is a little bit misleading (not your fault). It's also the power port, but you could get a USB C dongle that includes power pass through.

You might be wrong about the USB-C charging port options. The psref page lists both USB-C ports as offering PD 3.0.

It's really confusing, because the user guide shows only the USB-4 port for AMD models as being the charging port.

I think that's true, but my point was that there aren't really 2 open USB C ports since one is in use 99% of the time. I think expectations for laptops are that power would have its own dedicated port, and I'm pointing out that isn't the case here.

The AMD Gen 1 version had both USB-C 3.2 ports with power delivery. I'm sure the non 4.0 port here, will have the same PD capability.

On another note.... Seems like delivery dates for the 64GB keeps getting pushed back. The 32GB version seemed to get delivery pretty quickly according to others in that thread. Frown

Matte. Or at least as matte as OLED gets.
You said matte and another person said glossy, now I just have to decide who to trust Big Grin

Is there a way to post pictures on SD?

Side by side with my MSI creator OLED laptop, the difference is noticable, but it's still OLED, so it won't be as matte as some IPS screens.

So, is this a slick deal? My budget is $ 800-1200. I am looking for 15-16 (not 14 which is too small for my eyes and not 17 which is just too big to fit in backpack without going too big) inches of laptop for work and home and may be minor play, if any. Great battery life. I would like a bright screen. Lots of RAM, and good processor. Reliable. Chargeable via USB-C, so I don't have to lug around big power blocks like in some gaming laptop, which is the only reason I don't want a true gaming laptop. I personally like the old style lenovo keyboards and the little pointer, and the clickers on top of the trackpad. So, this laptop is obviously a compromise, but is there a better deal or can one be expected anytime soon?

One more question. I have this laptop right now that I got when it was on a $1000 deal from Costco that is within my return time limit of 90 days. Which one is a better deal?
