So, is this a slick deal? My budget is $ 800-1200. I am looking for 15-16 (not 14 which is too small for my eyes and not 17 which is just too big to fit in backpack without going too big) inches of laptop for work and home and may be minor play, if any. Great battery life. I would like a bright screen. Lots of RAM, and good processor. Reliable. Chargeable via USB-C, so I don't have to lug around big power blocks like in some gaming laptop, which is the only reason I don't want a true gaming laptop. I personally like the old style lenovo keyboards and the little pointer, and the clickers on top of the trackpad. So, this laptop is obviously a compromise, but is there a better deal or can one be expected anytime soon?
CPU, RAM, and screen are awesome. The pre built battery is supposedly mediocre. Charges via USB; the power brick is 65watts, so it's usable on a plane. Upgrading to the 3 year on site service is probably worth it. Best iGPU available today, but still an iGPU. Has only 1 SSD slot, which is disappointing for a 16" laptop. Keyboard is nice and has a number pad. I bought this for ~1500 a month ago and thought it was a great deal for the price. Swapping it out for this model because Lenovo wouldn't price adjust (I had a custom build model with slightly different components).

I'm guessing half the price of Intel dumpster fire and 1/4 of self frying MacBook. Nice.

Anyone know how good this screen actually is?
Based on my experience, I would not buy OLED laptop again, the panel is much more fragile than regular LED panel. my HP envy laptop accidently falled out off the bag, not very high though, and hit the floor. At that time, the OLED panel showed no damge and every thing still worked. AFter two weeks, I noticed a hairline crack. The worst thing is that I could not find the OLED panel repacement. You cannot simply buy a regular LED panel at inexpensive price to repace it since the swtiches are different. I dropped my other laptops with LED panel a few times and never had problem with the panels. so if we have a OLED laptop, we got to be very careful with handling.

This looks thick enough to have a higher power cpu. Kinda shame they only included U processor.

I opened the back to swap out the SSD for a larger one. Not sure if you can tell from the bios or windows.

If you use Windows, it comes with an app called Lenovo Vantage. It says 86Whr under battery detail on mine as well.

Thank you. I have Windows, so when I checked Vantage, Under Battery, it shows 65W USB-C power is connected. When I click on "See Battery Details", under Design Capacity, it shows 86Wh. Based on this, should I assume it is 86Wh ? If so, should I be getting a better USB-C power cord ?
