It's an interactive aquarium so you can feed the fish, birds, etc. However, to do so, you buy tokens to spend for the interactions. So, feeding the fish or birds might cost a token and going into the flying squirrel enclosure might cost 10 tokens. I imagine you can still use these free tickets to go in and just look. However, the main draw is feeding/interacting with animals. If you're not interested in that portion of it, then it's just a really small aquarium.

We went during the week. It wasn't crowded (< 5 mins to get in) but it was very sad, with dirty enclosures, several animals able to get out of their pens (and did!), understaffed, etc. Not a terrible way to kill an hour or two with the kiddos, but not worth the normal price of admission.
Also to everyone else's point, any activity inside is an upsell. some of the "experiences" are crazy expensive as well.

The Utah one is a dump. I swear one of the sharks was trying to play dead so they would put it out of its misery. We have all these tokens we bought before and can't find ways to use them. None of the animals eat the crap you can buy for them anymore.
My wife went to the Las Vegas SeaQuest with a couple family members while in the area for a business trip. They went when the place opened and after waiting for a school group to enter, they were able to walk straight in. Her impression is that it was well staffed and though smallish, they spent a couple hours and really enjoyed the experience. They did spend $50 on tokens split between the three of them and noted that without getting the tokens it probably would have been less interesting. She felt that the workers were really engaged and helped make the experience much more enjoyable. Going early on a weekday may have increased the interaction of the animals for the food and decreased crowds/lines. Having a school group coming the same day may have also increased the number of staff on-hand. Regardless, they all really enjoyed the time spent so wanted to share that it isn't all bad experiences at these facilities.
Has 4.5 stars on Google but looking at the pictures it seems like the animals are really crammed in there. Apparently a wallaby drowned at the Littleton location. Doesn't sound great. Free is free but I'll pass on this one.

I just went to the Utah location about 2 weeks ago from the last promo and completely agree. The tanks are filthy, the animals are look insanely depressed, and the shark tanks are wayyyy too small for as large as they are.
I would suggest supporting an actual aquarium on the coast that at least has some sort of conservation effort and actually takes care of their animals.
We signed up for this the last time. Drove 1.5 hours to the NJ location. 3 hours prior to closing time. Looong line and 45 minutes into it, they said they can't accommodate anymore and denied us entry. Needless to say, my kids were upset and took me much more than their entry ticket savings $ to console them.
