Returned to my local store along with some of the other games. I always pad my order to get over the free shipping threshold, knowing that this happens, sometimes order 2 of the same new in order to increase my odds of actually getting an unopened copy. Don't like doing this but that is reality with GameStop.

I bought a "new" PS5 copy last week as part of an order with 10 games, and only 3 of the 10 games were in shrink-wrap. The super mega baseball case was all scuffed up and definitely not new. Returned to my local store along with some of the other games. I always pad my order to get over the free shipping threshold, knowing that this happens, sometimes order 2 of the same new in order to increase my odds of actually getting an unopened copy. Don't like doing this but that is reality with GameStop.

I ordered 4 copies of this game and to my surprise, they were all sealed. I agree it is a gamble though

I just received a "new" game in a generic DVD case with a generic insert that said certieified pre-owned and the game discs in paper sleeves. Of course the price sticker on the outside of the case said it was "new".

I have no idea how GameStop wasn't ever sued into oblivion over that practice. Selling opened games as new is clearly fraud. Now that they're on their last legs, I doubt anyone would risk filing a class action, but they really need to be put in their place.

Is this game any good?

I saw this at target today on sale for $25 and then checked it was a bit cheaper on amazon from a 3rd party seller.

I'm prefer sports games to be more arcade like NBA Jam and Blitz rather than realistic simulators.

3 is better than 4. I have them both and still play 3 a lot more. 4 has server issues. It will disconnect out of nowhere and not record any part of the game played. Stealing and bunting is also broke in 4. Overall game play is much better on 3

Normally they would probably do it but from what I've observed apparently this crosses some kind of maximum discount threshold in their system that causes it to be blocked, at least in-store anyway.

Probably like the people on Facebook marketplace or offer up. It's new they just opened it to make sure it was working, they are doing you a solid lol

Ridiculous that they have an $80 minimum for free shipping and that "new" means it's been screwed around with in storeā€¦
