I've had two of the hotshot series in my cycling life. They're absolutely the best light I've used. Very simple, stupid bright (if aimed directly into eyes), and have a great runtime. Love the mount system, works great for round seat posts. Awesome throw and visibility, effective patterns to choose from.

I just wish they used usb-c for charging ports now.

The light itself is amazing and agree on great runtime. Hate having to keep a micro usb charger around, but my headlight uses it too, so not a massive annoyance.

Big complaint, the mount system isn't 100% secure. I've had the light pop off the mount while riding twice. Recommend making a leash with a wire tie to secure it to the mount just in case.

Thanks, I did not know that.
Mine is arriving today. I need to get a wire tie - where can I get one?

I've owned two of these for several years and used over a hundred rides and it's never popped off the mount. There's a tab on the mount that makes it pretty difficult to come off without you manually pulling it back so I wouldn't be that concerned.

My (minor) issue with this light is that this mount makes the light stick out quite a bit, not as flush as others on the market, including the Cygolite 250 with it's more flexible rubber mount (which I also own).
