It's totally unfair to say that, dissuading people from considering it, and not providing justification. Please, explain...

These are high-3* review ratings on Amazon and Walmart. It sounds like there are some QC issues with one of the two buds performing differently than the other, or just some QC issues in general. Most of the good reviews on Amazon are Vine reviews. I'm seeing good reviews on Walmart that are comparing these to higher-end Apple ones and enthusiastically calling them better, which I don't necessarily believe. I've been waiting for a deal since my wife permanently borrowed my Pixel buds (I don't use them that often), but with sketchy reviews overall, I'll pass.

No, Phillips, sells gas and oil. However, Philips is now primarily a health and medical technology company. Philips audio and TV is now licensed to TPV. HMD is TPV's audio subsidiary. TV business in the Americas are licensed to Funai since we'll over a decade.

Now having said all that, the audio portion is still designed out of the Netherlands. They still provide descent audio at an affordable price for the most part.

Does Phillips make their own earbuds? Or does a no-name company just slap "Phillips" on them?

100$ for philips is laughable. Nobody would pay anywhere near that price for that junk

TBH. I was skeptical at first. It turned out to be pretty good. For sure it is not worth $100. For under $30 with ANC, it is a pretty good price. Very comfortable and sounds pretty good. It has more bass than my Airpod Pro believe it or not. Bluetooth range is good and you can actually use one headphone independently. Overall, it is a solid headphone for $29. Try it yourself. You can always return it if you don't like it. I carry this with me all the time. Don't really care if I lose it.

Money aside, AirPods or AirPod pros are not as good as you think they are. I say that as a mac and apple brand enjoyer.

i bought these a few days ago.
they just didn't work on my phone.
it was just a pain in my ass.
i took them out and went for a walk.
i decided i would just put them on and connect them while i am walking.
the entire hour i just tried to get bluetooth to turn on.
finally got home and put them back in the case.
took them out.
check for new bluetooth devices.
Philips T4556
awesome.
then see another
Phillips T4556.
i connect to one.
yay! i'm connected.
connects to only one earbud.
how do i pair them together?
you need to do a factory reset for the headphones...factory reseting headphones...
hold for 10 seconds while in the case.
resets.
scan for bluetooth devices.
Phillips T4556.
