I can't speak for every electric car but most electric cars efficiency is between 3-5 miles/kWh. To see how much range you get per night is a simple math equation. 32A X 240V = 7680kW. Let's then round down to 7kW due to inefficiencies anywhere along the system. Multiply 7kW with 3-5 miles/kWh and you get between 21-35 miles of charging/hour. Let's say you start charging at midnight to maximize on time of use billing and you leave for your work place at 7am. You have 7 hour x 21-35 miles of charging/hour = 147 to 245 miles of charging/night. Batteries may get bigger but efficiency will most certainly improve. Unless your daily commute runs over 150 miles every day, then this charger will suffice no matter how big the battery is. The only factors that matter are the cars efficiency and the length of your commute.
Not bad. Though price is $79 out the door after tax and shipping. Looks like the tax is based on the full MSRP price, not the discounted price.
FYI: MUST already own an EV - will not qualify otherwise - they ask for verification.

Thanks OP. I've been charging with the mobile charger but now I can install this juice box and keep the mobile charger on the car for road trips.

You can pick between hardwired vs 14-50 plug when ordering.

I've had three of these replaced for gfci self-check failure, stuck contactor, and charging outside schedule. It might not last forever, but at this price it doesn't matter.

32A is mighty slow for a charger in 2023. With batteries only getting bigger this will take too long to charge cars in 2-5 years from now.

If you want a charger and that's it, then these work well. However, if you ever expect to get it connected to wifi and be able to monitor your charging and energy use, forget it. I have a JuiceBox 48 and it's a disaster. Had it replaced under warranty once already which was a huge headache since it's hardwired. Even now, I still can't get the new one connected and working correctly on wifi. I would never buy another one of these and wouldn't recommend it to anybody who wants capability beyond just the charging.

Why would I want to have it tied to wifi? The conspiracy around controlling your access looks less and less like a conspiracy every day
Utility monitors your usage to statistical purposes. Some will limit your draw during high demand times.

Just FYI, If you have a Nissan LEAF, level 2 like this EVSE will degrade the battery faster than just using the portable level 1 EVSE that comes with the car.
