I can't speak for every electric car but most electric cars efficiency is between 3-5 miles/kWh. To see how much range you get per night is a simple math equation. 32A X 240V = 7680kW. Let's then round down to 7kW due to inefficiencies anywhere along the system. Multiply 7kW with 3-5 miles/kWh and you get between 21-35 miles of charging/hour. Let's say you start charging at midnight to maximize on time of use billing and you leave for your work place at 7am. You have 7 hour x 21-35 miles of charging/hour = 147 to 245 miles of charging/night. Batteries may get bigger but efficiency will most certainly improve. Unless your daily commute runs over 150 miles every day, then this charger will suffice no matter how big the battery is. The only factors that matter are the cars efficiency and the length of your commute.

Not bad. Though price is $79 out the door after tax and shipping. Looks like the tax is based on the full MSRP price, not the discounted price.

It depends on the climate where you are. LEAFs in PNW, they are still going at 90% SOH battery w/ over 200K miles. They are very reliable. I have one since 2011 with 150K miles. Only maintenance is tires, wipers and 12V battery.

No it does not, at least not at any level that would be measurable over the life of a car.

Don't forget brake fluid! It does need that once in a while. Also gearbox oil change maybe once every 50K miles.

Never changed mine, still original 2011 at 150K miles. No issues. Also, the maintenance manual doesn't say to replace the gearbox oil at all.

I noticed a lot less heat in LeafSpy when using Level 1 than Level 2 so I stopped using it completely. Level 3 is even worse. Heat destroys the battery of the LEAF, that is a fact. Check the LEAFs in Phoenix and Las Vegas.

Grabbed this on the last smud deal. It works great but even after several support tickets the app/wifi never worked. If that's a feature you want skip it. Was worth it to me just as a cheap backup to the one we had since the car is able to manage most things anyway.

Seriously and if the dummy lawmakers at Sacramento could think better, they would give one such a discount to anyone whose older car could not pass the California's Smog Test!
It actually could improve the air quality if some car owners would trap for the lure!

True, but they've cheapened out on the worst possible part of the car. Leaf would have been one of the best EV's ever made if it had an actively cooled battery.
