I'm going to argue it's not 'your bad', that there are several ways you could have phrased it which would have beeb fine.

I for one appreciate your posting, and am not sure "the professionals" would have had you not. Still on the fence about whether to pull the trigger, but glad you let us know.

Bought this last year with two 7.5 batteries. Had a record snowfall winter in Sioux Falls SD and this machine handled it perfectly. Had zero issues, and had no problem doing two extra sidewalks and an additional driveway for my neighbors.

It is a good price but not really a great deal. I got the Toro 26" with 2x 7.5Ah batteries for $799 that is a great deal. I saw at least 3 new models from Ego coming out this year.

I have this model with the two 7.5 ah batteries. I like a lot, and keep this one and my old Ariens 30" against the garage wall all winter. Above about 6-8", I just use the Ariens. We get more than our share of the cleared snow from the road when the plow comes through, so clearing the driveway near the road can be brutal, requiring the higher power Ariens. The EGO 2 stage blower is a lot easier to maneuver and turn, and has a much lighter feel than the Ariens. The EGO is truly a joy to use.

BTW, if you have an older EGO 2 stage snow blower, I think pre-July 2021, there is a free fix performance kit [egopowerplus.com] for the uncommanded chute rotation. If you have the adjustable tensioners in the chute control line, yours is after the fix, and does not need the upgrade kit.

Would I be fine to run this with a 10ah and 5ah? Have these from lawnmower and blower. I'm trying to talk myself out of it with only mild MI winters (lately)

Hmmm... So Ego has already released two new blowers to replace this one. One of them is bigger at 28in and the other looks like a direct replacement of this one. So the question is, buy now? Or wait? Will the price drop even further, or will there be black Friday deals were they try to dump the rest of their stock.

Buy now and set a delivery date far out. Amazon will ask you for the delivery date for this order. You can set the date a month out.

If this helps anyone make a decision, Grainger currently has the 7.5Ah Battery (BA4200) on clearance for $74.13. At present, there is free in-store pick-up but shipping is ~ $60 if needed. See the thread below (not my find, just a share):
