I spent 22 years in the Army, the first 4 or 5 years of that polishing the old black combat boots, before we switched to ACUs and suede dessert boots. I don't see how that's relevant at all. I'm sure anyone can wash sneakers just as well as a hardened combat Vet, LOL!
