What is the torque range on this? I can't find it anywhere in the item description. No wonder they are cleaning it out.

Picked one up today. Got home tested it out and didn't work. No click. I had it set on 25 lbs figured I would test it out on lug nuts on my car with low torque surely will click fast. Well I moved my lug nut torqued down at 81lbs and no click came from the thing. So now I had to break them free and use another torque wrench to get them back to spec. I returned this POS. and a few reviews on amazon and lowes site said the same thing.

Any reason to get this over the husky one that just went on sale at HD for $50?

Other good alternatives?

Consider buying it from Lowes. The reason it price dropped is because of Lowes. Amazon only dropped to try to keep up. You can also get 6% cashback with a popular cashback app.

A review on Amazon said they had to lubricate it and then it worked. Still shouldn't have to do that on a new item.

Dont buy craftsmen torque wrenches, they have never been any good. At best, it will work one time then loose calibration. I do a lot of work for a toyota engine plant, where they have torque wrench testers. Every time we have a new hire come in, they normally have a craftsmen pos, which they test, then they throw that garbage away. Pretty much everything craftsmen is crap actually.
