They make 300, 600, and 1,000lb rated bar clamps. These are the 1,000. Maybe the photos are of the lower rating clamps but you are buying their 1,000lb rated clamp in this case. Not sure what you're going on about.

Where on earth did they get the idea you can call this a "1,000 lb" bar clamp?! There's no way you could generate that kind of force on these clamps. The 36" bar will be twisting and bowing something awful at even half of that. Okay, MAYBE the head and bar could withstand a 1,000 AXIAL load, but the bending in the bar from it would distort the bar of any clamp longer than probably 6".
Not meaning to give you a hard time, OP. Jorgensen used to make some pretty good clamps before they got bought out. They are still pretty okay in recent years. But this load rating on light duty clamps is simply ridiculous.
I'm guessing these are fairly comparable to these Irwins? IRWIN Tools QUICK-GRIP Bar Clamp, 36-inch (223136) https://a.co/d/95cYro6
I have a couple of the 24 inch version of the Irwins and have been happy with them. I don't see a clamp force rating on them though.

If you're near a Menards - they have Masterforce clamps that might work for you. I can't speak to the 1000 LBs spec but they do a nice job for a hobbyist woodworker. https://www.menards.com/main/tool...c-9135.htm

the Irwin one seems to be at similar price but free shipping
Jorgensen has 2 types of bar clamps... what I would call light duty and heavier duty. I have both in various sizes and its quite a noticeable difference between light and heavy...
The heavy duty differences are:
1) The long metal bar itself is significantly beefier and sturdier to handle the heavy loads.
2) The clamping jaws are also wider/thicker to accommodate the heavier loads its designed to handle
I wont make any claims to the 1000lb rating but I just want folks to know you be hard pressed (pun intended) to find bar clamps as well built for this price point.
If you are looking to compare to the HF clamp I would only do so against their lighter duty bar clamps.

for several years now Lowes has run sales on several types of Jorg clamps around Black Friday/Xmas. grabbing a couple is a great way to build out your collection over time rather than trying to buy them all at once at full price

To generate and react loads of that magnitude, you need the much larger and heavier clamps like the Beesy K-body [rockler.com], or F-clamps with big bars [rockler.com].
