Can anyone confirm I would have to pay return shipping if I didn't like these?

I believe their return policy mentions it twice.

"full money back refund, excluding any shipping charges."

"Return shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer"

Since no one responded, I have experience with all three and to me they do not sound the same.

IMO these will be more articulate and cleaner sounding but not as much presence/full sound.

These are much easier to drive, while the other two will sound muddy when under powered or low volumes IMO.

That's just my impression so not sure that does anything for you.

I agree with supermanrob. I own Triangle BRO08, BRO03 and Martin logan motion 35xti . Triangle speakers are easier to drive and sound fuller . However , i find Triangle can be a bit too bight with poor recording . Martin Logan has fuller bass and better at instruments and vocals .

Yes, Adorama will charge return shipping.
They do allow you to create a label in their returns system which is heavily discounted from retail pricing.
I shipped a pair of very large speakers back for something like $80. Prolly would have been $150-200 with my FedEx account that already gets 40% off counter rate.

I've listened to these as well as the B&W 603 S2 Anniversary Edition, but not side by side. I like the imaging and the general fullness of the B&W's better, but I think the two are pretty comparable. For the money, I'd probably give these the edge. (Then again, knowing return shipping is going to be expensive if you don't like them, this is pretty risky.)

Generally anyone who chimes would need to have heard these in at least the same room at the same time and be able to be sure the volumes are closely matched.

Otherwise any comparison is very hard to make accurately, the influence of the room is obvioulsy huge and aural memory is mostly a good idea, not a reality. Plus louder is usually perceived as better when most other things are close.

We adapt to change sound sound very quickly, switch phones and people sound different for a couple minutes and then never again right? Untill you switch again and then people sound weird for a few minutes. Testing also shows folks have almost no long term aural memory - more a memory of thoughts about how things sounded back then. You can see why right? We hear all day, imagine remembering all of that.

So for most folks most of the time these things usually need to be compared side by side.

If you are shopping for home theater only(and multiochannel music only) NOT stereo most comments about stage and imaging and the like of that are pointless. The discrete channels create those effects, that is the very point of them ---> you are no longer relying on 2 speakers to create a soundstage.

1st so I'd look for the Tonality you like, which actually in dedicated home theater might be brighter and more bass heavy than you like for music. People sometimes enjoy the shattering glass and explosions with extra energy vs live levels of things like horns and violins in music. (in other words many folks can and will do louder, more shocking HT vs Music and frequently folks want horns and very loud things mellowed out in music)

2nd unless you are usually alone, get a very nice center channel. Ideally a 3way speaker with a tweeter above the mid, not to the side of the midrage. (side by side bass drivers is fine)

I would check out Erin's Audio corner on YouTube or his web blog for his review of the BR03, and ASR did one as well.
Erin also recently did 2 Martin Logan bookshelves.
You are looking at towers but most of that is the SPL and bass, the tone will most often be similar.

In the end I suspect they all are similar enough in strengths and flaws that for home theater with many channels involved and subwoofers involved and the typical content involved that you should just buy based on looks(if a factor) and price.

Agreeing to some of this I would add.
People have to understand, there are no exceptions to this chiming in.

There are no "experts"/"professionals" when it comes to how something sounds especially universally!

This side by side listening has to be done by you, there is no one that can actually do it for you.
Especially when you consider the influence of the room is obvioulsy huge and we all hear things differently.
Not to mention descriptions used are not the same/universal.

In the end unless you listen for yourself, it's all a big guessing game, that's the unfortunate truth.

I have the br08. I am an avid speaker builder and member of midwest audio club as well as the diyloudspeaker project pad on Facebook. I attend meetings every year that debute world class speakers of every kind. The triangle speakers are fantastic. For the money, I have not heard a commercial speaker that rivals them for imaging and depth of sound. If I needed to choose a fault I would say I enjoy them much more with a properly tuned subwoofer. 😀

With this said, I also own many pairs of b&w speakers. The triangles are just better....(until you spend 3x as much)
