Multistep process, works the same at Lowes with Kobolt:
-go to customer service
-say you have Husky item that is broken
-they look at you kinda odd, as if you are the first person to have ever done this before
-they pause, standing motionless and silent (don't flinch here as they are sizing you up)
-assuming you held your ground during the awkward silent pause, they'll instruct you to get a replacement item
-when you cannot find the exact item (because they change SKU's so often) just find something similar..perhaps slightly better
-return to the employee
-They'll process an exchange without a receipt essentially
-you leave...or buy a bunch of Ryobi stuff...your choice
AAA batteries!? Yuck. Hopefully the rechargeable is solid.
I have a lot of rechargeable batteries and this would be a great option for that. Plus you can easily swap batteries out plus recharge a second set. The fact that it can use multiple types of batteries is fantastic. At least in my eyes. I have had units with included rechargeable batteries that died out but luckily I am able to swap them out for AAA batteries. I get to keep the unit plus easily swap out batteries with no down time.

thanks for the 411 (and chuckle). got a pair to relive the excitement in future.
Looks like a gamble of a cheap product per reviews, something might break quickly and it will likely be the battery not holding charge. At this price though not bad. I'd recommend one that takes 18650 battery though, then you can replace it and it's not proprietary and can choose battery manufacturer/quality

I need to know if this works with C to C charging or only C to A. A lot of these products don't implement the USB spec correctly and they don't work with normal usb-c cables unless they have an a side port

Someone in the Q&A mentioned it only works with the included cable. For whatever that is worth.
You're mistaken, I also thought it was 2/pack but it is 1 flashlight, 1 rechargable battery and 1 AAA battery pack per package.

Another post mentions a USB A-C included, this to me implies its 5V max. Should work with a C-C as long as it is 5V.
NOTE: I suggested skipping this cheap product, but with a husky lifetime warranty I ordered a pair.
I think its kinda funny one of the pictures shows a QR code to order a replacement battery, for ~$15, more then the sale price of the light when buying 2 and 75% of the normal price.
