FYI I decided to return my ultra 2 watch. Best Buy charged me 32$ for "free" Apple music they automatically added. Just because they emailed me the code. It was ordered as Best Buy "drop".

I pulled the trigger! Bought on Amazon. The band doesn't matter, the watch is the same. So I just ordered the watch on sale and a different band. I also stacked $60 off using 1 Amex MR point, so came out to $569 plus tax. Apple products typically don't get this discounted, my bet is that this doesn't go lower than this price on BF. This is the lowest price ever on the ultra from what I can see

If you're a gambling person you might want to look at Facebook market place for local sellers. I got a brand new u2 for 675$ a few weeks ago. Sealed in box and works great. I came from a w6 and the battery life is night and day diff. And the sapphire crystal is so nice and I have less fear of micro scratches everywhere like my old one.

I would say no. The main reason I switched was specifically for the media consumption and calling features. If you don't need that stuff, the Garmin is great and probably has a better form factor with more "hard" buttons for controls. One problem I've run into with the Ultra is the screen can be unusable when it gets a little wet. The Ultra does have some physical buttons but you can really only stop/start the activity with those. I really liked the Garmin watches. I trained for about 20 marathons over 15 years wearing various versions of the Forerunner.

Best Buy has been doing this for years. "Free" items are often added such as antivirus software, gift cards, subscriptions, etc. and I always uncheck them before buying. Those will be emailed to you and if you return the item, they will charge you.

I have the Ultra 2 - came from the W7 stainless steel. The ultra is a great upgrade from the 7. This is such a better deal than a ne wU2. It is almost impossible to differentiate the u1 for the u2. Thumbs up

I got model noted in the post, bought open box excellent for $583. Was iffy on the band color/design, but actually not too bad, so I'll test it out for now.

Open box is always a risk but fortunately, the one I got looks like it was never even opened. The cable was still in original packaging state. The watch itself was missing the protective sticker, but other than that...I'm guessing someone bought it, tried it on, didn't like it right away, then returned it.

I would say the ultra 2 is worth about $200 more than the ultra 1 at this point. If you can get ultra 2 new for 750, then 550 is where you have to be for it to make sense. That said there are much less deals on the ultras than the normal watches. Maybe because of demand. Maybe because of limited supply. Even intended market I couldn't find ultra 1 for less than $500 thus my purchase of U2. That said the battery life is pretty awesome. Not because "need" it. By the insurance policy when I'm out and about using it a lot I don't need to worry about dying in a day. That and I love the sapphire screen. The lack of micro scratches really ups the clarity/contrast of the screen.

The apple watch market on FB marketplace is 90% scammers. Been trying for weeks. The real ones either set unrealistic prices, or price too low and get snapped up in minutes.
