Micro-USB charging port. The Soundcore 2 is USB-C. No complaints from me about the actual functionality or durability of either.

Can confirm these are pretty good for $20. Not gonna knock your socks off with features or big sound, but I have a few of these units and my oldest one is from back in 2018 and still charges and lasts an absurdly long time and sound quality is just good enough to listen to tunes or podcasts in the garage. If you want a cheapie, this gets it done and seems to be of reasonable quality. Back when my iPhone still had a headphone jack it was VERY convenient to be able to just use a cord instead of bluetooth, but those days are long gone.

I had one of these from two years ago fall off my bike recently. Replaced it with a jbl flip 5.

Considering getting another one of these though. The reason is they have stereo sound, I'd forget which week I charged it, way lighter than the flip, you can have it at full volume for two hours and won't wreck it. Cheap. The jbl sounds better at my desk but this speaker is way better on bike .

May hold off on Black Friday to see if the newer version goes on sale. It's suppose to be better in a lot of ways from this trusty Toyota of a speaker.

love everything about this but for the obnoxious connection announcements. am sending it back and trying the cambridge angle 3, which is supposed to keep its mouth shut about connecting.
