Well, let's see if the app crashes like it did with the free bacon cheeseburger deal they had a few weeks ago. I believe Wendy's corp intentionally crashed it so they would not have to give out free food.
That's unlikely the margins are enough that they still make money

I never ordered food online ever. So if you use an iphone, download and create a wendy's account through the apple store app.

Then you can claim these coupons? Also when you order online, do most of you use debit or credit card? It's been a real long time since I ever used debit or credit card at a food place.

Also when you order food, how long does it take for your food to be ready? Can you order and then show up 30 minutes and it would be there? Will there be a message that your food is ready on the app?
Yes, I think the coupon will appear after you use the "offers" button on the homepage of the app.

I use a credit card to get bonus reward points.

It takes maybe 5-10 minutes for the order to finish at my Wendy's.

You can schedule the order to happen in the future. You don't have to make the order get processed immediately.

Yes, download the Wendy's app and create an account. You can use credit or debit to order online. But there's also the option to load the offer to your account, then scan a QR code in store if you want to pay in cash.

If you're ordering online in advance, the time it takes for your food to be ready depends on how busy they are. Usually it'll say the estimated time in the app. Personally, I like to order 5-10 minutes in advance so that it's ready by the time I arrive, but you might risk slightly cold food. If you really want it fresh and hot, just order when you're in the store/parking lot.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm scared to put my CC number in an app. With all of the breaches that happen everyday do you really want your CC in the wild. I guess I could use a virtual CC number. I guess that would work. Except I have to use a computer browser? I have a plugin from Capital One but don't know if can use on Mobile. I'll check it out and see. It seems all most all restaurants make you order and pay through the app to get the specials. I carry my phone but not my computer. 😆

I order on the Wendy's app all the time, and there's always a bunch of deals and offers every week, so these deals are nothing new/special.

Has anybody tried to redeem one of the boo books (free micro frosty) with a mobile order?

Can you just hand them the coupon at the window? I don't think there is a way to enter it into the mobile app.
Last time I bought the holiday digital one, it came up in the offers section and had to be used a promo and couldn't stack with other. Never bought it digital again so don't know now and days could be there though.

I don't think I've heard of a virtual CC number, but between debit and credit, always use credit if you have one. App or website, make sure it's a reputable company, and even they can get hacked. If the app gives you a choice, don't let it save the number (some do it by default). If your CC number does get exposed, you have much better protections provided by using credit. Use whatever functionality your bank provides to help you monitor your stuff. For example, my bank's app lets me set transaction limits, turn cards off or on, location limits, and immediate push notifications for transactions.

Sorry to hijack the Wendy's thread for financial advice, lol.

On topic - I can still get the 4 for 4 deal on the app even when they stopped having it on in-person menus. It's the primary reason I got the app. Gotta save that cheddar for my Jr cheeseburger.

So say you it takes you about 30 minutes to talk to a wendy's but you going to be around that area anyways for shopping and things like that. So make an order about 10 minutes before you go to wendy's?

The thing that is confusing with online order is when you make an order, will you get a notification on the app that your food is ready for pickup? Or you just make an order about 10 minutes before you go there and then check with them if your order is ready for pickup? Also what happens if you order it and don't come and pick it up till say an hour later? It will still be there but it will be cold right? Do they put the bags of orders in a specific area for online orders?

Also when you go to wendy's to pick up the order, you show them or do you scan whatever is the receipt number on your phone?

This used to be a standard promo on the menu. Inflation is great. You get 100 bil, you get 100 bil. Everyone gets hundreds of billions!
Moar subprime loans and 0% interest for the banks, yeehaw!

I'm not sure that a VPN would help when creating multiple accounts. Assuming it works like McDonald's, they look at the device ID of the phone... So if there's many accounts tied to one phone, you may have issues.

I think I only have really something like 2 or 3 McDonald's accounts, and I only made the 2nd and 3rd ones because I sometimes have issues logging in. Support has been useless in getting it to work, too.

I don't know for sure but I suspect some of the long-term issues I've had with my account(s) have been due to using the codes from two accounts in a short period of time during the same visit. Maybe it was flagged, idk.

You should just try it if you're interested. I can't guarantee how the process works, but I will usually put in an order if I am a few minutes away. I would not personally do it 10 minutes in advance. Some places are vigilant about how long food stays out and might even toss your food if it isn't picked up by a certain time. I know McDonald's and even Taco Bell has done that sort of thing before anyhow.

From what I remember for Wendy's specifically, when you place the order on the app, it tells you to go thru the drive thru (or walk in) and give the name of your order. (Your name, the name on your account for your mobile order). I can't tell you though if they're already making it or not, but I presume they would generally be making it already - if they aren't having a rush.

Hmm I see. Would voip work like textnow?
I even bought a phone number with textnow ($5) and still couldn't get it to work. It wouldn't accept my number for some reason. maybe they could tell it wasn't owned by a carrier.
