Yeah just order (3) 2 liters for cash pickup at checkout it gives the Free Emergency Pizza banner to click.

Cancel Order or Don't pick it up and still get the free pizza for next day to use.

It's definitely bots then...

The bigger problem seems to be that everyone was assuming the promo starts right at midnight ET while it actually starts at some unstated time between midnight and noon each day when you read the fine print more closely. That seems to be why nobody was even seeing the entry form when checking at midnight anyway. Obviously, bots are another concern, but a better grasp of the promotion is a step in the right direction at least.

"4. ODDS: The odds of reserving an Offer are 1:67,205."
Seems accurate.

The cost of operating a bot is higher than the cost of a pizza.

even if bots took all the pizzas, i find it hard to believe that someone refreshing the page at exactly midnight wouldn't see it reset. they might not be fast enough to get a pizza, but they should at least be able to see the page reset. that's why i think it probably hasn't happened yet for today

Yep … completely agree. Everyone was stuck on seeing the form pop up at midnight, but that false expectation appears to have been the main issue. Doubt I'll even bother watching for it if it's a random time. It was barely worth the time looking right at a particular time, but I'm not going to mess with scripts or try to watch for it … may give it a shot if I happen to see someone post that it's live, although probably a long shot by that point.

Gotcha. It used to be...

Each Offer Period begins at 12:00:01 am Eastern Time ("ET") and ends when all available Offers for each Offer Period are claimed.

and they changed it to...

Each daily Offer Period will launch between 12:00:01 am ET - 12:00:00pm ET and ends at 11:59:59 pm ET, or when all available Offers are depleted (whichever comes first).

So that person on Twitter couldn't have got it tonight. They may have won it on the first two nights, when they were easier to get and lasted 5 minutes. The counter is still on $186K. I guess that page monitor will help notify us when it posts, hopefully I'm not still asleep, lol!

Oh man … that's pretty lousy they changed that fine print and didn't make it more obvious that it starts at a random time. It would be bad enough just slipping it into the fine print like from the start, but changing up just the fine print after the fact? Really crappy way to do it in my opinion.

Yeah, lousy for sure. No notification at all on the switch to random times, which apparently started yesterday. They updated the fine print after the fact too, as yesterday it still read it started at 12:01 am ET. Anyways, I have that page monitor script up and running now. If it rings for me when they start it again I'll give you all a heads up Smilie

Awesome … I'm probably about to crash for the night, but hopefully some of you guys end up with some pizza at least. Good luck!

That or they need to make it a random time during the day so the bots can't be set to 12:00:01 AM and swoop everything up

The giveaways start at 12:01 am ET each day, are on a first-come, first-served basis, and will run until November 9. Best bet would be to stay up until midnight and hammer away at the F5 button (West Coasters will have to stay up until 3:01, sorry.)

Curious if they actually verify that you have student debt. Honestly, I don't mind giving away an email address, but having to give all of that other identifying information is a bit sus.
I think you mathed backwards

Making a random time makes it easier for the bots to swoop everything up. They can be checking all day, and a random time means they will compete with fewer humans.

I think it may have gone live 30 minutes ago for about 2 minutes.

i've definitely wasted way more time on this now than a domino's medium 2-topping pizza is worth
