Monthly billing credits are the new contracts and people are too blind to see it. Hey at least there's no etf 🤷🏻 ♂️
Uhm it's up to you if u leave and there aren't horrible cancellation fees. Not the new contract . An incentive to stay, not a contract forcing u to.

Also- it makes sense why would Verizon give you a free iPhone for u to leave 6 months later and take it doesn't make sense.

Btw if it's like T-Mobile you can pay it off early.snd reduce your monthly bill

you are incorrect, try to add 4 pixel7a on 4 lines, you will see they are crediting 4 phones on monthly basis. but i want 1 pixel 8 pro, they are adding $22/month to that. not worth it, on top of that, my wife hates android.. haha.
Thanks. That's where I was confused. They have the tiny words of one device per group plan on the details page. Great all 4 pixels are free.

Anyone know how much taxes would be for the four lines? If you have Id.me, it shows $100 after auto-pay and paperless billing (before taxes and fees).

After 6 years with Verizon I just ported my number over to US Mobile.

Getting better service(speed) for much cheaper and with that savings I can buy a new phone every year.

If you switch to your wireless carrier to At&t I believe you get $20 off your At&t fiber bill with any plan. In terms of trade in, you can basically get a free Pixel 8 Pro ($1000) or Samsung S23 ($800) if you trade in something as cheap as a Galaxy A14, A23, or A51. I found someone selling a A14 near me for $40. I believe the values are different for Apple phones so you'll have to check the value of what you want to trade in, and check their promo deal on the Apple phones when you try to buy one, it will list a promo underneath with a clickable link on the description page. The only negative to this whole thing is that they are now a 36 month contract, just like Verizon. Seems like all carriers are starting to do this now. Last thing I would like to add is that if anyone has T-mobile, they require you to call them and request a separate transfer PIN to port out your number. My entire process was delayed because of that.
Thanks for details. So, one cannot get the phone unlocked until it has been 36 months?

We have 7 lines with Verizon for 2 years and my lines bill is now $168/month for 7 lines including $10/line loyalty discount and $20 discount at account level. I am paying $25/line. Very happy with service. Also have offer to take $1000 credit for iphone 11 against 15 Pro/Pro max split over 36 months. Not sure if prepaid going to be that cheaper .

Phone will be unlocked after 60 days, but you are still responsible for paying off the phones. If you port your numbers out, you lose your "bill credits". So you would end up paying off the phones for three years without their service and without bill credits. The only way to keep your "bill credits" is to keep you lines with Verizon.

I just transferred 2 lines from T-mobile without calling them. They were on a family plan, I had to log in with the account owners' number.

Here's quick math after 2 years for those comparing to buying an unlocked iphone and using an NVMO at $25/line with no taxes and fees.

4 Verizon lines - $120 + tax x 24 months = ~ $3,600
Taxes on 4 phones at full price = $200
Lost statement credits for 12 months, $23 x 4 x 12 = ~$1,100

Total cost to own phone (will be unlocked after 60 days) + 2 years of service = $4,900

Cost of comparable service with MVNO - $100 x 24 = $2400

Cost for 4x iphone 14 plus = $4900 - $2400 = $2500, or $625 per phone (including tax).

This isn't the slickest deal after 2 years, except for verizon fios customers who get an extra $5 off each line, making the phones only $487 each including tax.

Here's the same math after 3 years, if you don't upgrade as often.

4 Verizon lines - $120 + tax x 36 months = ~ $5,400
Taxes on 4 phones at full price = $200

Total cost to own phone (will be unlocked after 60 days) + 3 years of service = $5,600

Cost of comparable service with MVNO - $100 x 36 = $3600

You're paying an equivalent $500 per phone including tax today. If you have fios, you're paying $293 per phone.

Depending on your situation, this is going to be a better deal than an unlocked phone to use with an NVMO.

P.S. I'm not sure if $25 unlimited plans including tax exists, Boost has one that's $25+tax, Metro has a shitty 5GB/month plan for $30, etc.
