lol, what reality do some of you commenting on PC deals live in? A 3060 alone still goes for $200-250 on sale but you expect to find it in a PC that's $379 "at most"? Technology depreciates fast but as fast as some of y'all seem to think.

it's crazy how much the PC market has changed.

When I built my first PC (back in the year 2000) you basically bought whatever your budget allowed and got really good value for the dollar at every budget level.

Now, the mid-level value doesn't exist anymore. You either get (or build) a 1080p or 1440p gaming rig between $400-$800ish mixing and matching generations for the best value (with not a lot of performance separation), or you get a top of the line 1440p 144hz or 4K 120hz gaming rig that costs like $2.5-$3.5K

There is little to no value in the middle right now.

For a kid looking to pc game or if you just want to spend a budget amount for a pc gaming build this isnt that bad, just have to know the limitations of the 1660ti and 3700x over time it might be good for 1080p various detail settings depending on game for now but could quickly become a sub 60fps machine in newer games even at 1080p low.

Depending on the PSU in these might be able to pop in a better GPU in a couple years and still keep up enough though even maybe a 5600x3d or 5800x3d as well.

But for a prebuilt with warranty its tough to find any gaming machine thats worthwhile under $500 these days.

Better. A 5600/5600x/5700x B550 motherboard, 32GB of ram and a RX 7600. A cheap power supply, cheap case and a 500GB 970 plus. Around $500 if you wait for deals.

You can find a deal on everything except for GPUs and CPUs right now it seems. I'm one of those people waiting to build a PC with deals and i've been stuck on those two components for multiple weeks now. I'm not sure they are ever going to come lol

Slickdeals has gone full on deceptive-marketing-practices-mode now.

This "deal" was shared here a couple days ago originally and the best deal was the $379 i5 + gtx 1660 ti deal that is no longer available

yet the thread somehow shows that the deal was posted just a few hours ago and there's no mention in the OP that the original deal most people were discussing here is dead now.

You can't be a lazy shopper on slickdeals anymore and still get a tremendous amount of value, you gotta browse slickdeals with your bullshit radar on now.

Assuming there was no fan on the front I could see the GPU (as pictured) holding heat below it, perhaps creating a hotspot...but again, a $3 fan would solve that problem mounted at the lower front, pulling air towards the rear.

I was going to bite, BUT, I started to see mismatched specs from the title and description across the board, different RAM specs, different GPU/CPUs, and different storage, too much of a risk to take a gamble with what is listed in the title and what i could get.
