    It's dead. But it seems like people didn't understand that this was an USB AND micro-USB drive. I bought 3 even though I'll never use the micro side. It'll permanently be a compact standard USB stick for $8! for 256gb!

    I find that a lot of people impose their own use case on others in the comments, not thinking that someone else might have a different use than theirs. Quite handy to have a quarter of a TB of portable storage around for this and that. At this price, these are a great option for backing up desktop and laptop operating systems with all user files. There are many people out there whose entire disk image is less than 256GB.

    I think he was talking about getting USB A to type C. Everyone seems to think this is a micro-USB ONLY drive. It's got a standard USB on one side. If you were to snap off the micro-USB, it'd be like a very compact standard USB drive (which you can adapt to type-C if you want).
