I've got this card / rewards in the past and have since canceled it. However, I'm not sure if I qualify because of that 2 year waiting period. In my case, it's not quite clear. I do not know when I signed up for the card; however by looking at my rewards history, I see that I earned the bonus on February 22, 2022. Obviously that is less than 2 years ago but the date I signed up for the card may very well have been longer than 2 years ago. Is there anyway to confirm if I would get the points. I do not want to sign up, pay the $69 fee and NOT get the points.

From what you said, you need to wait until Feb 23, 2024 (2 years after you received that bonus) to apply for a new individual card with an initial bonus feature. That is how the TERMS read.

Again, THERE IS ONLY TWO (2) FULL DAYS LEFT on this OFFER.

I can't say for 100% certain, but my answer is almost certainly, YES.

The offer was available on 12/10, you took advantage of the offer by applying. In my opinion, Chase can't just 'wait it out' and unilaterally change the deal on you. That is one of the reasons why States pass Consumer Protection statutes. I think you are good to go.

I got this bonus last year and haven't used the rapid rewards. I am now up for renewal and want to cancel the card. I've seen posts saying reps tell them the points will be lost if card is cancelled and also seen folks saying if points are "transferred" to a SW rapid rewards account, the points are yours to keep even if card is cancelled.

I did nothing from my side to transfer the points anywhere. However, i can see the points listed on the screen when i log into my SW RR account. Does this mean points have been transferred? ie I can cancel the card without losing the points.

Here are some pointers from prior years' you might want to be aware of.....

If you already have an individual Southwest Credit Card in your wallet right now but received your SIGN ON BONUS more than 2 years ago, then my advice is to just cancel it today....then, wait 32 days, and then re-apply for a card under this deal to try to get in on this deal with the 75k bonus offer. (I can't guarantee it would work, but that's what I would do, and what I have done in years' past). Offer ends 12/11/2023 so there is 46 days left.

Also, look it up if it is a concern, but Chase also has its 5/24 rule re approving/denying new credit card applications (in case you have had too many new credit cards in the past 24 months).

Also, most people would also delay finishing the $3,000 spending requirement until early January so that they could have these points post in January 2024 (but still be sure to meet the initial 3 month requirement, which is from when you are APPROVED for the card, and not from when you receive the physical card). Trying to have the points post in January 2024 is beneficial because it would provide a healthy start to qualifying for companion pass in 2024 (assuming companion passes will remain the case in 2024).

Finally, if you already have a Rapid Rewards account number, keep it handy and enter it in during the credit card application process (Otherwise they will issue a new rapid rewards number).

Does it offer 0% APR for any amount of time?
