Can someone educate me on this? How can I find out the actual gold price and calculate if this is a good deal or not. Thanks.
Google it. Yahoo finance has it. Actual gold price around $1980 for an Oz

Buy a gold ETF for the same price. No storing cost etc. Safer than physical gold bar.
until the internet or infrastructure goes down and then you are screwed

How to resell the gold bar in the future for cash? Any fees and commissions when selling?

As I type this, the Gold spot price is within $10. Seems like a good deal based on that (and the spot price not drifting downward)

Gold and silver, always own physical, and some ETF. But not all.

Seems to be right at/just over the spot price.
Dumb question that I am going to ask, is the point to buy and store away? Looks like prices have doubled in 10 years ,but that is a long time to wait 😁 . Or is this have some advantage over other bars?

Someone's grandkid is gonna find these in the yard or in behind the floor board years from now. They will toss it out cause it was not plastic and they wouldn't know what it was, cause everything will be virtual. We all know it will our grand kids that will be checking on the houses we currently have, before they either sale it, squatters get it, or before the bank gets it.

A nice graph so you can see how silly investing in physical gold is. Goes back to 1915. Spoiler: highest price for an ounce looks to be around $2054. That's not good return considering how long you would have to sit on this. https://www.macrotrends.net/1333/...year-chart

Until people find out that some ETFs don't have the physical to back their outstanding shares.
