Picked 3 of these up at this price (less the Amex credit) mid October. I've been extremely impressed with the quality at the price.

The only suboptimal things are that they ship with an HDMI cable rather than DP and the stand, while adjustable, doesn't have as much flexibility as I'm used to.

Will probably pick up one or two more.

As in a power brick, monitor has a C13 power connector, so power supply is built into the monitor

I would definitely pick IPS over VA for daily office work any day. Gaming might be a different story, can't speak of that. Curved seems like a gimmick at only 27". I do own a curved ultra wide and it makes sense for those, but 27" seems quite small for a curve.

VA panels are annoying to me, the off angle viewing is lousy.
The Dell is an IPS panel

Just FYI, dead/stuck pixel policy for this monitor means 5 or less such affected pixels are considered acceptable. Just saying this because I did buy an Acer monitor this year and had a 2 dead pixels, which to me is unacceptable. I was able to return to Amazon for free though...

Some people may have on their AMEX card $120 back when you spend $599 or more. This is, in case you are in for four.

Some other ones might have the get $40 bucks back as a statement credit when you spend $200.

Finally, there is CB website that if you like to "be - frugal" will give you 6% back

Is it recommended to add basic hardware service for 3 years to extend the warranty?? I had bad experience with hp monitors where they don't work after 1 yr warranty .

And I will be replacing my two office 4k monitors. It looks like a downgrade, but I expect a better refresh rate. Right now, two of my S2721QS are not constantly working on 60Hz. One of them lowers the rate to painful values. Smilie

As for lowering the resolution - I ended up using an emulation of QHD-like resolution that performs my MacBookPro on my 4k monitors.

I will be complaining this Friday if my plans fail. Smilie

That Acer monitor has very annoying wake-from-sleep issues. Doesn't sound like a big deal but I can see it getting very annoying/aggravating quickly. Many bad reviews about this issue. I'd stay away from it. This monitor is consistently one of the cheapest, probably because nobody wants it.
