I picked one up yesterday they have the red ones also on sale but only had one left at my store. Needed a hammer my old one disappeared.

The 16oz Pittsburgh is $6 normally, but yeah, looks like 20% off right now so $4.80. I've been tempted many times by the Pittsburgh in the store as a 3rd or 4th hammer to have around, but it just doesn't do it for me. I don't like the way the fiberglass tapers into the head and the rubber overmold stops short of the end of the handle compared to this Craftsman. Just my opinion looking at the design itself--never beat a fastener with either of them Smilie.

HF hammers are actually decent. Not contractor grade. The head may get loose over time but when that happens they'll exchange it, lifetime warranty.

I really with the Harbor Freight/Dollar Tree folks would go back into their cave. It's impossible to have a thread on pretty much any tool/item without a "why buy this when you can buy X at HB/Dollar Tree cheaper". We get it. We're glad that you love HB/Dollar Tree. Just go away.

I used HF hummer for many years around a house, but over two years ago I started to work as a contractor for outdoor wood structure assembly I used HF hummer for some time and later I got Kobalt for $3.48. Kobalt is much much better than HF. I will never go back to HF tool. I bought several hand tools and all of them are good to use once a month or less but not offten.
