You didn't really miss anything unless you were planning to flip it. 12.4 mph on a scooter is going to feel incredibly slow.

I bought it without seat two weeks ago and had a few rounds of ride already. It fits my bill for a 6~7 mile round trip. The build feels pretty firm, actually on a bit heavy side.
