Several of these Dean have been on sale for a long time including the ML version. They can't give these away.

Yeah these have been on sale for a while now. On paper the specs are amazing and you may just get a quality guitar that needs only a bit of fixing, but Brutes Magootes has a review of his on Youtube and it is not pleasant, especially at the original price point and even so at the discounted price.

If you're willing to fix all that up or be patient with Dean's warranty then this perchance would make an awesome guitar. Not many guitars out there that are a 7-string multi-scale with tremolo and certainly not this cheap. Only other guitars I know of that are also 7-string multi-scale tremolo are the Strandberg Boden Prog NX 7 ($2495 retail) and the EBMM Abasi Signature Kaizen-7 ($4000 retail).
